About the university
Con sede en Yopal, Casanare, Orinoquía Colombiana, fue creada entre entidades públicas y privadas el 16 de marzo del 2000, como una Asociación de utilidad común, sin ánimo de lucro, de participación mixta y como una institución universitaria de educación superior, que acredita su desempeño con criterio de universalidad en la investigación científica y tecnológica, en la formación académica en profesiones y en la producción, desarrollo y transmisión del conocimiento y de la cultura universal y nacional, de conformidad con: la Constitución Política de Colombia, Artículos 67, 69, 70 y 71, la Ley 30 de 1992, la Ley 489 de 1998, la Ley 29 de 1990 y el Decreto Ley 393
