About the university
The Free University of Costa Rica is a Private Institution of Higher Education, non-profit, approved on January 14, 1993 for all purposes of the Law, session 211-93 of CONESUP and is governed by what is established in the Constitution Policy of Costa Rica and in law 6693 of Private Universities and its Regulations. Among the primary objectives is the promotion and development of research, education and social development activities in the country and other countries of the isthmus.
