The objective of the graduate programme in Communication and Media Studies is to ground students in the theoretical and professional knowledge that they need in order to engage effectively and ethically responsibly in the information and communication age—as both scholars and as professionals. Our trans-disciplinary program has internal flexibility, allowing for a variety of emphases that cater to individual student needs while simultaneously providing common grounds in the theoretical bases of communication research and practice. The medium of instruction at the programme is either in Turkish or English. All students enrolled in the graduate programme are required to complete courses amounting to 21 credits, a seminar and a thesis. Students are proceed to write a thesis under a designated thesis supervisor.
