About the university
The Film Academy of Miroslav Ondricek in Pisek (FAMO) is a small and elite private film university in the Czech Republic, which offers accredited Bachelor and Master Degree study programs in Multimedia Production, with specialisations in Screenwriting, Directing, Cinematography, Documentary Film, Sound, Editing, Production and Visual Effects and Animation. These BA and MA programs are offered in the English language, or in Czech. Hands-on experience, small class sizes and a personalized approach to student tuition are given strong emphasis throughout all the study programs. Our students produce a minimum of two film products per year, and our industry-professional tutors push them to first master film craft, and then challenge established ideas and forge their own creative style.
