About the university
University College Sjælland (UCSJ), er en professionshøjskole, etableret i 2007, som tilbyder uddannelse indenfor pædagog- og socialfaglige, sundhedsfaglige og lærerfaglige områder. University College Sjælland er en sammenslutning af tidligere CVU Syd og CVU Sjælland. UCSJ har afdelinger i Roskilde, Slagelse, Næstved, Vordingborg og Nykøbing Falster.[1]UCSJ udbyder muligheder for yderligere specialisering for uddannede praktikere. Aktiviteterne på efter- og videreuddannelsesfeltet består af diplomuddannelser, kurser, seminarer m.m. De er relaterede til grunduddannelserne og henvender sig derfor primært til de samme faggrupper; oftest for studerende i alderen 25 år og opefter. Flere af tilbuddene er dog også rettet mod aftagere fra fagområder uden for sundheds- og velfærdssektoren. Efter- og videreuddannelserne udbydes typisk mod deltagerbetaling.University College Zealand (UCZ) is the regional university college in the region of Zealand offering 11 bachelor degree programs. University College Zealand has 8.500 full-time and 2.500 part-time students as well as 650 employees located at seven campuses across the region.
