About the university
KADK is a higher education institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science. A Rector, within the framework laid down by the Board, carries out the day-to-day management. KADK provides 3 main areas of education: architecture, design and conservation, spread across 7 departments. The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation (KADK) was founded in 2011 on the basis of a merger between the Academy’s School of Architecture, the Danish Design School and the Academy’s School of Conservation. Today KADK have approx. 2,000 students on our Bachelor, Master’s, PhD and continuing education programmes.
