About the university
The Loyola Polytechnic Institute (IPL), founded in 1952, is a polyvalent and state educational institution, fully entrusted to the Company of Jesus, which has its headquarters in the province of San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic. The Center combines the evangelizing and human promotion of the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (PPI) with technical and professional education, in conjunction with other educational services that prioritize the nation's social welfare, especially for the city of San Cristóbal and Surrounding region to which it belongs. At present, the Loyola Polytechnic Institute covers the Initial Level (for children of three years of age), Primary, Technical or Secondary Baccalaureate and Higher Level in the Specialized Institute of Higher Education Loyola (IEESL), through Of which he instils in his students the values necessary for an excellent academic and moral formation. The polyvalent nature of the IPL is also made up of the Continuing Education area with general courses, languages and the National Technical Vocational Training Institute (INFOTEP).
