About the university
The Technical University Luis Vargas Torres de Esmeraldas is an autonomous public-law non-profit public entity, located in the city of Esmeraldas, in the province of Esmeraldas, northwest of Ecuador. Its acronym son UTE - LVT was created By Law No. 70-16 of May 4, 1970, by the National Congress and by the disposition of Dr. José María Velasco Ibarra, President of the Republic and promulgated in Official Gazette No. 436 dated 21 of the month, Su The first Rector was the emeraldian Dr. Luis Prado Viteri. He began his work with the session of the University Assembly convened under the aegis of that Law on August 22 and in which Rector was appointed to the meritorious emerald Dr. Luis Prado Viteri, who was in charge of running his organization.
