About the university
Great days had to meet the Orense community to achieve the foundation of the university, from the struggles in the streets that cost the lives of men of our people, to parliamentary controversies, as a product of the interests that are reflected in the interior of society . After a series of steps and procedures, Technical University of Machala, was created by the resolution of the honorable National Congress of the Republic of Ecuador, by Decree Law No. 69-04, dated April 14, 1969, published in the Registry Official No. 161, of the 18th of the same month and year. Having started with the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary. By official resolution was commissioned to the House of Culture Núcleo de El Oro, chaired by the Lcdo. Diego Minuche Garrido, the organization of the university, with the Advisory Committee of Academic Coordination of the National Council of Higher Education, until the rector is appointed.
