About the university
ESCOM is a private higher education institution established in 1957 and recognized by the State . ESCOM was founded on 26 September 1957 under the name of ADTI, the Association for the Development of Industrial Techniques, under the leadership of the reverend Father Pierre Mastagli, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of the Catholic Institute and Director Of Research at CNRS. Since its inception, ESCOM's board of directors has included industrialists such as Albert Guérillot, director of Vernis Duroux, and Raymond Paul, scientific director of the Rhone-Poulenc chemicals company. The formation of ESCOM in the form of an association known today is published in the Official Gazette of 21 June 1969. Act No. 2013-660 of 22 July 2013 on higher education and Research defines a new chapter on "relations between the State and private non-profit institutions of higher education".
