Bordeaux Sciences Agro is a public institution of higher education and agronomic research under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Agri-Food and Forestry. Created in 1962, It trains each year 600 students who follow the Agronomic Engineer curriculum through initial training under student or apprentice status or one of the six Masters co-accredited with Bordeaux universities or national partners or the specialized Masters course labeled CGE. Higher agricultural education, Veterinary and Landscape, brings together in France 20 establishments that train 17,000 students. Training courses for sustainable development, agronomy, food, the environment, landscape, veterinary medicine and regional planning are offered. Through its local roots and its national and international partnerships, Bordeaux Sciences Agro participates in the promotion of the Bordeaux university site by being one of the 7 founding members of the IDEX "University of Bordeaux" Contributes to the activities of regional clusters and competitiveness clusters and collaborates with the main actors of research and advanced agricultural and veterinary training in France within the framework of the Agronomic Institute for Veterinary and Forests of France.
