About the university

Polytech Marseille was created in 2001 by the merger of three engineering schools: the Charles-Fabry Institute, the Marseille Institute of Engineering Sciences, the Institute of Industrial Thermal Systems [ref. necessary]. In 2006, a fourth specialty (civil engineering) was created. In 2012, as part of the merger of the three universities of Aix-Marseille, Polytech Marseille merged with the École supérieure d'ingénieurs de Luminy (ESIL). Polytech Marseille brings together all the trainings of university engineers authorized by the Commission des titres d'ingénieur (CTI) created on the Marseilles area during the last twenty years and covers a very wide range of engineering sciences . Today, more than 6,000 graduate engineers come from these courses.
