About the university
Founded in 1924, the Lille School of Journalism (ESJ Lille) is one of the first professional journalism training schools in Europe. It is the oldest of the 14 schools recognized by the profession in France. The school's flagship diploma, the oldest, Validates two years of schooling for 60 students, a first year generalist and a second year specialized (which since 2014 can be carried out in apprenticeship). It is accessed through a selective competition at the Bac + 3 level (specific competition for international students). For two years, the selected students receive a "polymedia" training (radio, TV, print, agency, web). The entrance examination is organized jointly with the Institute of Political Studies of Lille (Sciences Po Lille). This agreement allows students to receive two diplomas at the end of their studies: ESJ Lille (recognized by the profession) and the IEP in Lille (equivalent to a Master's degree in Political Science). ESJ Lille has developed over the years, in addition to its historical diploma, other courses and actions presented on this site.
