About the university
The National School of Art of Dijon is the oldest of the seven national schools in the region. Drawing on the drawing studio of the painter François Devosge, founded in 1765, with the architect Edme Verniquet and a few other artists, she developed local and national and international influence. The creation of a network of art schools in the Greater East (Besançon, Chalon-sur-Saône, Dijon, Épinal and Metz, Mulhouse and Strasbourg, Nancy, Reims) strengthens opportunities for mobility and exchanges and cross-border dialogue with Germany and Switzerland. Set partly in the former abbey palace of the xviii th century, in the historic heart of Dijon and a forty hours from Paris by TGV, the school benefits from a privileged location. The addition of a neoclassical building built in 1958 gives it an area of 3300 m2.
