The Marne-la-Vallée School of Architecture in Marne-la-Vallée, founded in 1998, is one of the twenty French national superior schools of architecture, public administrative institutions of higher education under the tutelage of the Ministry of Culture And Communication (General Directorate of Heritage / Department of Architecture). His pedagogical project is based on a conception of architecture engaged in the transformation of the city and the territories. The School is housed in a building built by the architect Bernard Tschumi in 1999 on the university campus of the Cité Descartes, only twenty minutes from Paris by the RER A. The proximity and links with other institutions of higher education on the campus (National School of Roads and Bridges, IFU French Institute of Urban Planning, University Paris-Est, Esiee School of Engineering, Institute French Transport Science and Technology, etc.), allows to broaden and compare fields of knowledge on common themes. Since 2007, the school has enrolled in the Community of University and Institution (ComUE) University Paris-Est, of which it is an associate member.
