About the university
The first components of the courses were set up in 1968 on an agricultural estate of 20 hectares. This property mid-mid-forest vineyard, originally housed the St. Michael Castle, former summer residence of the lords of the Guard at the xvi th century. This estate was sold to the city of Toulon which made it the land of the university. New components were then developed throughout the department : Toulon, La Valette, Draguignan, and Saint-Raphaël. The university changed its name in 2004 and became the University of the South Toulon-Var (USTV). It changes its name again in 2013 to become the University of Toulon .
