About the university
In 1962 , opens an IUT in Mechanical Engineering. In 1964 , an antenna of the Faculty of Sciences of Lille was created in Famars. The raw materials are taught mechanics, metallurgy and boiler. In 1966, a university scientific college was set up in Valenciennes. This center is totally dependent on the University of Lille.
