About the university
Created in 1899, the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Toulon has been present in the history of the territory of the Var for more than a century, but today turns towards the problems of the contemporary world thanks to the many partnerships it has known Set up with structures of excellence. In 2010, in order to meet the new standards of French institutions of higher artistic education placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture, the Ecole Supérieure d'Art and Sesign Toulon Provence Méditerranée (ESADTPM) has become a Public Cooperation Establishment (EPCC) founded by the Toulon Provence-Méditerranée urban community, the Conseil Général du Var and the French State. This change allows the school to award diplomas to the European Master's degree. Indeed, with the Bachelor-Master-Doctorate (LMD) reform, only art schools with EPCC status can issue diplomas in the name of the State. This opens up new prospects for students to pursue their studies in Europe by equivalence.
