About the university
Télécom Nancy, formerly École supérieure d'informatique et applications de Lorraine, or ÉSIAL, is one of the 210 French engineering schools authorized to award an engineering degree. Created in 1990, it trains engineers specialized in the field of information and communication sciences. It is also a component of the University of Lorraine and the National Polytechnic Institute of Lorraine. Since September 21, 2011, Télécom Nancy is an associate school of the Institut Mines-Télécom.
