About the university
The AREFIS - Regional Association for Study and Training in Social Intervention - is the association managing the IREIS - Regional and European Institute of Social Interventions . In 2001, the AREFAS ( Research, Study and Training Association for Health and Social Actors ), manager of the IRFAS ( Institute for Research and Training for Social Actors ), AGIFISS ( Management Association Of the Institute for Training in the Social Intervention of the Savoie), manager of IFISS ( Institute for Training in Social Intervention of the Savoie ), conclude the need to unite their forces in order to equip the Rhônalpin territory with a A multi-sectoral training institute, with a regional vocation, open to the European area and bearing clearly defined values, common to its initiators. To carry out this project, they founded a new association, the AREFIS : the European Regional Institute for Rhône-Alpes Social Interventions (IREIS - Rhône Alpes) was born.
