About the university
The quest for academic excellence and international openness has always been the watchword of IFAM. The institute was founded in 1982 by Alain Joseph (ESCP, Maîtrise Sc Eco in Paris, MBA Northwestern Kellogg) and Managing Director of a business school in Paris regularly ranked among the best in France, and by Marie -France Joseph, BA, MA and PhDc at Indiana University. Originally, IFAM offers an innovative and unique program: 2 years in Paris and one year in the USA to obtain the BBA. As early as 1982, IFAM signed partnerships with Hartford University and Northeastern University. IFAM students, thus benefiting from the academic experience and the dynamism of the school, can thus obtain from their 3rd year the precious Bachelor initially acquired in 4 years in the USA. This original program allowed 1500 students to continue their studies in the USA. In 1986, the programs evolved: IFAM develops one of the first MBAs entirely in English in France, offering courses credited by American universities. From then on, our students can either get their BBA in the USA or get their BBA in Paris and pursue their MBA directly in the USA by taking advantage of our close partnerships. Gradually partnerships evolved: Pace University (NY), Central Michigan University, Babson College, Suffolk University, Bryant College, University of Dallas, Temple University, University of San Diego .
