About the university
The IRTS-IDS Normandie (Regional Institute of Labor Social-Institute of Social Development Normandy), has a public service mission, reaffirmed by the Law against exclusions of July 1998. Since the law on local freedoms and responsibilities, the Normandy Region has full competence to define and implement a policy of training social workers in the broader field of vocational training. Beyond the Regional Council, the place of the General Councils of Seine-Maritime and Eure is reaffirmed, and the State is present by the DRJSCS to help ensure conditions favorable to the development of professional qualification. The SDI is a tool to accompany social policies to combat exclusion and discrimination. It wishes to position itself resolutely in the evolution of social intervention so that it can contribute to guaranteeing the exercise of real and non-formal equality in democracy.
