EPITA was created by Patrice Dumoucel in 19845,6. It was initially located at 44 rue Duhesme in the 18th arrondissement of Paris and then moved quickly in 1985 to the corner of the Rue de Crimee and rue Archereau in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. In 1989, the first promotion came out of the School for Computer Science and Advanced Techniques, Épita (promotion 1989). In 1991, EPITA moved to "Le" Titien, a new building at 106-112 boulevard de l'Hôpital, in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, opposite the traditional engineering school of Arts et Métiers. Part of the Paris-Campus Group, founded by Patrice Dumoucel, which integrates many other establishments created or taken over by the Group. In 1994, EPITA was taken over by the IONIS Group.
