About the university
The National Institutes of Applied Sciences (INSA) are French public institutions for research and higher education. The largest group of engineers in France (10% of engineers), they mainly deliver the engineering degree after a five-year training course after the baccalauréat. The organization of this group of schools is part of a policy of decentralization. The INSA's recent creation is essentially a social objective, which is to give the greatest possible number of students access to quality higher education regardless of their background.
