About the university
International Black Sea University (IBSU) is the first private university in Georgia and the first English-language educational institution in the country, offering over 50 programs in both English and Georgian at all three levels of education. IBSU has been engaged in educational and scientific activities since 1995 and places a strong emphasis on professionally oriented, high-quality education and applied research, with a focus on innovation, internationalization, and lifelong learning. IBSU is a signatory of the Magna Charta Universitatum and a member of the Francophone University Association (AUF), the Central and East European Management Development Association (CEEMAN), the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA), and the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee), World Federation for Medical Education (WFME). IBSU ranks as the top Georgian university in international research, with six refereed scientific journals, two research centers (Multidisciplinary Research Center and International Research Center), the IBSU Academy, and a Media Center.
