About the university
The Maranatha University College (short: MUC) in Sowutuom, North Kwashieman, Accra is a University College in Ghana, which is affiliated to the University of Cape Coast. The MUC is divided into two faculties. The Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration offer a variety of bachelor's degrees and diplomas. Already since 1972, the Maranatha Bible College, the predecessor of the MUC, operates on the site of today's Kampus as a training center for religious leaders in Ghana. The National Accreditation Board has therefore recognized the course, now renamed Maranatha College, as University College in August 2006. On March 16, 2007, the first students were admitted to the Faculty of Business Studies.
