The Universidad Católica de Honduras, officially named "Universidad Católica de Honduras Nuestra Señora Reina de la Paz" (Catholic University of Honduras Our Lady Queen of Peace), or "UNICAH" as it is affectionately called among its students, is a private university in Honduras run by the Catholic Church. Founded in 1992, Universidad Catolica de Honduras (Catholic University of Honduras) is a non-profit private higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the medium-sized city of Tegucigalpa (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Francisco Morazan. This 25 years old H.E. institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. The admission rate range is 80-90% making this Honduran higher education organization a least selective institution. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.
