About the university
National Institute of Science and Technology, Palur Hlls, Berhampur, Odisha. Established in 1996 by S. M. Charitable Educational Trust is the first full-fledged engineering college in South Odisha and the second engineering college in the State. In a short span, the National Institute of Science & Technology has succeeded in making an indelible mark on the engineering education community of Orissa. NIST is fast becoming the most preferred institute of top JEE and OJEE rank holders. Students of more than 13 states are studying in the Institute. This has been made possible by the relentless efforts put in by the faculty and staff of NIST in upholding the highest professional standards in education.
