About the university
JIS College of Engineering one of the first Institutions under JIS Group Educational Initiatives, one of the largest conglomerates in West Bengal was established in the year 2000. Since then their journey towards excellence has achieved important milestones like attaining benchmark in quality education rendition with the prestigious NAAC Grade-A & NBA accreditations, receiving World Bank assisted and MHRD approved TEQIP Grant and being accorded Autonomous status by University Grants Commission. In addition to offering a wide gamut of technological and professional courses along with strengthening their research and academic development, the institute also emphasizes on training the students with industry preparedness facilitated through career counselling workshops, inviting industry interaction, internship opportunities and last but not the least providing on-campus selection and recruitment process. JISCE has reinforced the training and placement drive by forming Industry Institute Partnership cell (IIPC). IIPC conducts summits from time to time where industry leaders are invited to share their insights for effectively guiding the students about the organizations’ expectations and needs so that they are able to adapt themselves successfully when employed by these organizations.
