Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology

The Trust decided to start an Engineering college in the year 2001. Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology came into existence in 2001 with affiliation granted by Bharathidasan University. The college blossomed with three branches namely B.E - Computer Science & Engineering, B.E - Electronics & Communication Engineering and B.Tech - Information Technology. At its inception, the intake of the college was 180 students and the college student strength is over 2200 students as on 2013. The college then got approval to offer B.E - Electrical & Electronics Engineering in 2005. Later, B.E - Aeronautical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering was added in 2008. In 2009, B.E - Civil Engineering was approved. In 2010, the following postgraduate courses were added M.E - Computer Science & Engineering and M.E - Communication Systems was approved. In 2011, the intake was increased from 60 to 120 in B.E - Mechanical Engineering & B.E - Electronics & Communication Engineering and two new postgraduate courses, M.E - Power Electronics & Drives and M.E - Software Engineering were also added. In 2012, M.E - Structural Engineering & M.E - Industrial Engineering were added and the intake of B.E - Civil Engineering was increased from 60 to 120 and B.E - Electronics & Communication was increased from 60 to 180. In 2013, M.E - CAD/CAM has been added. It is now one of the most reputed engineering colleges in this vicinity by virtue of its academic achievements and campus placements.
