About the university
The Coimbatore Institute of Management and Technology (CIMAT) an Autonomous Institution was established in 1996, by Kovai Kalaimagal Educational Trust. The institute exclusively offers post-graduate programmes in Business Administration (MBA) and in Computer Applications (MCA).The Institution has a state of the art library with ample reference material covering wide topics. A separate communication cell is established to improve the communication skill of students. To be effective in the current environment, professional education should provide broad intellectual understanding of the new paradigm, newer techniques of decision-making with the support of newer technologies and ability to work in different cultures and environment. Today the nation needs young and competent professionals who can perform to the expectations of the changing economy.
