About the university
The primary objective of the P D Women's College is to provide a robust platform to women in pursuing their higher studies. Thus, it aims at catering to the needs of women for higher education, in particular, to those who belong to economically backward classes, scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and minority communities of the region. Taking into account the changing dynamics of the society and the state, the institution also intends to prepare the students to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow by introducing several tailor-made courses to enhance their employability and thus, in the process, intensifying the interface with the society at large.
