SIBSTC was constituted as Society and Registered on 08.02.1972 by Registrar of Assurances, Coimbatore, vide Sl. No 7 of 1972. The College was originally situated at Coimbatore. With a view to enlarge the activities and to harness the expertise available with other institutions, the college was shifted to Bangalore in July 1989. The college started operating from premises at Ulsoor, Bangalore from August 1989 to June 2007. From June 2007 till November 2013, the college operated at Jayanagar Premises in Bangalore. With a view to provide better facilities to the participants and also to enhance the training reach, the college in November 2013 shifted to new premises on Shankara Math Road, Shankarapuram, Bangalore and is presently operating in this premises.
