About the university
An institution established under ISRA Act of 1860 (Act 3) under DSDES, registered under Ministry of MSME, Government of India (RN: MH26D0127731), The National School of Leadership (NSL) is the first leadership institution of global standards in India focusing solely on leadership studies. NSL's key focus is towards providing education in leadership studies to students from all tiers and categories of education. The criteria for eligibility is very flexible, with openings for students from science, commerce, and humanities backgrounds. NSL also has, as a stated objective, the national mission to promote leadership education in India and globally, which entails taking the requisite steps to bring leadership education to the masses through the efficient implementation of educational tools and modes of learning. The institution was Founded in 2008 established under ISRA Act of 1860 (Act 3) under DSDES. In 2013, the Faculty of Entrepreneurial Studies of the institution has been established to offer courses and entrepreneurship development activities under Ministry of MSME (Formerly Ministry of Industries), Government of India, for promotion of Entrepreneurship in India.

International students friendly
Programmes offered by the National School of Leadership are friendly for international students considering the use of technology and telephonic involvement with research guides, mentors and the fellow support team. For conferences and seminars at NSL, participation is desired but not mandatory for students residing outside India. So, international students can pursue their full time career while being a scholar at the National School of Leadership.
Student visa
Visa might be required in case a student wishes to visit the National School of Leadership, India for any academic purposes though visit to India is not mandatory for this programme. In case a student wants to visit NSL, visa guidance is provided. However, international visa regulations will apply based on the student's country of residence and other government policies.
Accommodation
Accommodation is provided to international students during the entire tenure in case any international student opts to visit NSL for any academic purposes. Charges of accommodation will vary based on the event and applicable sponsorship, especially applicable for research events.
