About the university
K. K. Das College (formerly known as K. K. Das College of Commerce) was established in the year 1964. Since its inception it had been functioning from the premises of Dinabandhu Andrews College, Garia. In the year 2008 the college has been shifted to its own building at the present address. This college was named after Later Kamini Kumar Das, a doctor. The requisite fund for starting the college was generously provided by the members of his family. It was started as a commerce college in the area and provided opportunities to the students of the neighborhood who wanted to pursue undergraduate commerce education. Now its is running successfully as a multi-faculty college.
