About the university
Adesh Institute of Medical Science and Research (AIMSR) is a private not for profit Medical College associated with a 750-bed Teaching hospital and has 150 M.B.B.S. annual seat intake. The college is located on the Barnala Bathinda Highway in Bhucho Khurd village of district Bathinda of Punjab. The campus is established on a 100-acre land. The college was established in 2006 under Adesh Institutions. AIMSR is approved by Medical Council of India and permitted by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. It was affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot from 2006 to 2011 MBBS Admissions Batch and is affiliated to Adesh University, Bathinda starting 2012 MBBS Admissions Batch. The college organises an annual sports week cum cultural fest known as Arrhythmia. The current Principal of AIMSR is Dr. Harkiran Kaur.The medical college has got a spacious library present on the second & third floors. It has got air cooled well ventilated and illuminated capacious halls for reading purposes with more than 6000 titles of books pertaining to various subjects and 64 national and international journals. The library is equipped with computers connected to the central internet hub of the college having broad band internet lease line for reference to the latest publications of the research material and other information through medlar and worldwide web. Unlimited access to internet is available for all faculty and students. Photo copier & printer services are available at a nominal cost to the students. The library also has got a huge reading room for the students to bring their own study material to pursue in a peaceful and temperature controlled environment.
