About the university
In 2001, the Adventist Accrediting Association permitted the upgrading of the college into an institution of higher learning as Roorkee Adventist Community College. The Seventh-day Adventist Philosophy of Education promotes the development of the ‘Physical, Intellectual, Spiritual and Social aspects of an individual, and it has always been the endeavor of the College to promote this feature in education. The Roorkee Adventist Community College then had decided to offer regular degree courses in association with Allahabad Agricultural Institute- Deemed University, Allahabad (India), a University of high academic standing, imparting Christian education. In 2003, the College, rechristened itself to be called “Roorkee Adventist College” started offering degree programs in Computer Science, Science, Management, Information Technology and Commerce from the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar, Uttarakhand.
