About the university
The MTEA is responsible for the missionary and evangelical work conducted by the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. It runs several schools, colleges, and hospitals. The Marthoma College of Management and Technology (MCMAT) is owned by the MTEA Society which is the creation of the Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association (MTEA). The Mar Thoma Evangelistic Association Society was formed and registered under the Travancore-Cochin Charitable Society’s Act P-459/04 in October, 2004 with a view to start educational institutions offering professional courses like MBA and MCA with approval from accrediting statutory organizations like AICTE. The MCMAT is the first institution of MTEA Society offering professional Management education and the only MBA College of MTEA Society of the Mar Thoma Syrian Church.
