About the university
Established in 1991, DBYES co-ordinates and spearheads the Youth Ministry, Educational Services, and HR Development initiatives of the Salesians of Don Bosco in the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura and offers consultancy and training in related fields to the Central and State Governments, the Corporate sector, Institutes of Higher Education, National and Regional Organisations and Networks, and socio-cultural and human development oriented NGOs across all the states of the North East. Don Bosco Institute is a dream realised by the Salesians of Don Bosco, Province of Guwahati. All dreams begin small, and so it did the Don Bosco Institute. Twelve years ago, when the Don Bosco Youth Mission and Educational Services (DBYES) began its journey, all we had in mind was to empower the youth of the region.
