About the university
The Academy of Fine Arts "Lorenzo da Viterbo", founded in 1975, was in Italy the first non-governmental, private-run Academy of Fine Arts, to be legally recognized by the Minister of Education, University and Research Education. ABAV has always been characterized by the constant pursuit of new fields of artistic training, so besides the Initial Courses of Painting, Sculpture, Scenography has subsequently activated the High School of High Fashion (Fashion designe and Costum design) and the Restoration School, School of Graphic Design and the School of Cinema and Television. The professional success of their students, combined with the Title of Study, is the true mission of the Academy! ABAV is a member of ELIA, the European League of Instiutes of the Arts, an international network of 320 art institutions in 47 countries. It also participates in Socrates-Erasmus programs, allowing students and teachers to study and study in London, Barcelona, Berlin and all other institutions with which they are affiliated.
