About the university
The Nino Rota Conservatory is a major institute of music studios founded in Monopoli in 1971. It is housed in the eighteenth-century convent of St. Anthony, annexed to the homonymous church. The Conservatory was born in 1971 as a detached section of Conservatory Niccolò Piccinni of Bari under the direction of Nino Rota, which was titled in 2004. Since 1990 he has been in the Convent of St. Anthony and has a multimedia library as well as classrooms for teaching activities, with a library of about 5000 bibliographic units (including the Orazio Fiume Fund donated to the library by the Fiume family And the Vanna Rota background) and audio materials.
