About the university
The Conservatory was born in 1970, thanks to the will of the Municipal Administration of Riva del Garda and the established existence of the local Civic Music School, founded in 1956. Initially established as a split section of "Claudio Monteverdi" in Bolzano, the Conservatory in 1975 is Moved to the "Giuseppe Verdi" branch office of Milan, to finally become a detached section of "Francesco Antonio Bonporti" in Trento in 1980. Equipped with a modern Auditorium, inaugurated in 1987, it is housed in a 17th-century church of the Inviolata, near the city center. In more than thirty years of activity, it has gradually expanded the number of courses, welcoming students from both the Venetian and Lombard provinces that overlook Lake Garda and include an attached Middle School. The presence of the Conservatory also favored the emergence of several important national and international musical events, such as the "Music Festival Riva".
