On October 11, 1458, and then on May 9, 1464, in a period after appeasement or surrender to the king, after the support rendered by the last Anjou Aquila, Orel asked the city of King Ferdinand of Aragonese license to open Studium equivalent to those that exist in Bologna, Siena and Perugia. The king granted the request, but not in the absence of documentary evidence that the city should be set up by Studio. Both before and after this request is documented, however, that Aquila (for example, the brother John Capistrano and Berardino Ludovico, the nephew of Frances of the chronicler Angeljukkio Bazzano, doctorate in 1474) went to study the civil and canon law in the study of Perugia. In the last years of the sixteenth century, the Jesuits, in their college, from 1596, higher education is attached.
