About the university
The High School for Language Mediators was established under the name of ISIT, Institute for Interpreters and Translators, under the Act 11 October 1986, n. 697. Recognized in 1989 by a Decree from the Ministry of Education (DM 19/05/1989), as a direct school for special purposes (formation of specialized experts in interpreting and translating). Actualized, as the High School for Language Mediators, from the academic year 2003/2004, in application of the reform established by the Decree of the Ministry of Education, University and Research of 10 January 2002, n. 38.La school issues, at the end of three years of higher education provided by the Ordinamento, diplomas Linguistic Mediation for Translation and Interpretation, equivalent in effect to degree diplomas awarded by the University at the end of the afferent courses of Class 3 " university degrees in Linguistics Mediation ".
