About the university
The Conservatory, in order to enhance various aspects of the vocal tradition, organizes specialized courses for opera singers, a Renaissance translator and baroque repertoire, singing and modern jazz. The Conservatory includes four orchestras: Symphony Orchestra Concert Band, Jazz Orchestra and Youth Symphony Orchestra, as well as a different vocal ensemble of ancient and modern music and a children's choir. Baroque culture and traditions characterize the group Salento and the Conservatory seeks to strengthen and grow, with its educational resources, these important realities. "The brass band is one of the peaks of the excellence of learning and music production and recording, as well as ancient and classical music bands that are produced in various festivals in Italy and abroad. Training includes thirty-two addresses, for the academic path of the first and second level. They are also active courses of pre-university scientific training and a summer school. Especially innovative is the course of studying electronic music.
