About the university
Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts (EMCVPA) is a one of a kind institution being the only college for the arts in the English-speaking Caribbean. The EMCVPA is one of the major institutions of cultural development and preservation in the Caribbean, with a wealth of knowledge on our shared regional culture. Our campus is centrally located in the heart of the Kingston Metropolitan Area with easy access to galleries, museums, art shops, restaurants and shopping centres. Our programmes are internationally recognized and accredited by the University Council of Jamaica. The College’s course offering ranges from Certificate to Master degree programmes. These are geared towards essential professional preparation to students in the Arts from the Caribbean, North America and Europe. The School of Continuing Education and Allied Programmes also has part-time leisure courses and a thriving summer school.
