About the university
Iwate Prefectural University (Iwate Prefectural University, Iwate Prefectural University) is a public university in Japan with a headquarters at 152 Takizawa, Iwate Prefecture, Susuko 152. It was established in 1998. Abbreviations of the university are prefectural large · prefectural university (abbreviation in Iwate prefecture), IPU.Hiroyasu Masuda of the 6th Iwate Prefectural Governor took over the "prefectural university concept" advocated by former governor Iwao Kudo and opened it in 1998. The establishment at the time of establishment was Iwate Prefecture, and the campus was built at the site of the Iwate prefecture livestock test site of Takizawa village in Iwate gun. For the first president he invited Junichi Nishizawa (then President of Tohoku University), who is also an eminent private education chairperson and a revisionist of the Basic Education Law. In 2005, it became a local independent administrative institution, and the current establishment is a public university corporation Iwate prefectural university.
