About the university
National Institute of Technology, Gunma College is a higher educational institution that trains far-sighted engineers and offers them a place to gain a wealth of knowledge and advanced technical skills through a curriculum of continuing education (5 years of regular courses after graduating from junior high school and 2 years of advanced courses), consisting of general and specialized subjects. Our college boasts an almost 100% job placement rate every year for students who seek employment upon graduation after completing the regular and/or advanced courses. Many of those who wish to continue their education, enroll in the advanced courses following the regular curriculum, transfer to universities, or move on to graduate schools. As scientific technologies develop and globalization advances, it is becoming increasingly important to train creative and practical-minded engineers that exert their skills in a variety of settings. These people are expected to contribute to society by generating innovative ideas. With the goal of producing such future engineers, we will continue our efforts toward improving education, relevant research and action programs that contribute to the local community.
