Hirosaki University is a university that values ​​student and student education, but since the time of the former organization Hirosaki High School, the predecessor of our university, we have received great support from local residents for educational research activities and student life. Also, it was realized that Aomori Medical experts and Aomori Normal schools, etc. who were in crisis due to wartime school were able to relocate to this place and survived, with regional understanding. In addition, Hirosaki is a high school of culture and history, and it is also an academic city with 5 higher education institutions besides our university. I think we are truly happy that we can live and learn in this place. 　Particularly recently, expectations have been gathered for the revitalization of the area and the role of the university in local creation, and the University also works with many universities in the prefecture, together with local municipalities, companies, organizations, etc., And to stop the economic recession as much as possible, and to contribute to the revitalization of the region. Of course, the role of the university is not limited only to the region, but as long as it is a university, we must promote educational research activities with the world in mind. However, even now in the rural areas, it is directly connected with the world, and does not mean that working on regional issues should be withdrawn in the region. We hope to be able to return the results of educational research as a university to the area in various forms.
