About the university
Regarding the official name of our college, our governing body has decided to use unified college names from June 2014. In accordance with this new rule, we have abandoned the use of our long-beloved Wakayama National College of Technology, and will now be officially known as National Institute of Technology, Wakayama College. This rule is shared by fifty other colleges belonging to the National Institute of Technology, whose nationwide network will contribute further to the development of technology in Japan and the world.
